Grandpa and Grandma have joined us on for an extended Thanksgiving visit, and Dave and I have caught a real glimpse of what it would be like to actually have family around. "Why don't the two of you go play volleyball and we'll watch Mathieu?" says Grandma.

"How about you go shopping and I hang out on the floor and play with Mathieu," says Grandpa.

Wow. How lucky are we or what!!! We have wonderful family who have offered to watch Mathieu in the past, but the difference is now I can be away from Mathieu for longer periods of time. Because I wasn't committed to pumping my breast milk, (and apparently I wasn't very good at it anyway), and I'm
very committed to breastfeeding, I couldn't be separated from Mathieu for long. I'm still nursing, but Mathieu also eats well which allows me a certain freedom I didn't have before. With Mathieu's grandparents here, I've been able to exercise that freedom a little more.
Here are a few very cute pictures we've taken lately with our fabulous guests.
The proverbial beach picture: Mathieu plays on the sand almost everyday now.

Grandpa has a tendency to blink on flash photos, so he chose to turn his head for this picture.

Mathieu playing with his first set of blocks sent by cousin Wendi.

Nice photo of Dave and his parents with the Spanish moss draped live oak trees.
