Silver River State Park

We spent this past weekend at Silver River State Park, Florida, with my mom.
We LOVED the rented cabin.  It had the hugest porch.
The porch was so big that Mathieu could zoom around on his bicycle

We canoed along the Silver River.  Of course, Mathieu insisted on carrying the paddle down the trial.

Apparently, Tarzan was filmed in this area in the 1930's.  Monkeys have remained wild ever since.  It was incredible to be canoeing down a river and see monkeys literally swinging from trees.
Other wildlife seen on the river
Wood Ducks
After awhile, Mathieu was not content just being a passenger.  He wanted to paddle.

The State Park also boasted many trails.

A Long Leaf pine cone.
A well-deserved rest!
