New Bed!

One of our bigger challenges with our wonderful Tybee home is it's size.  With a total of 550 square feet, we really need to THINK about what comes in so as to avoid clutter and the feeling of clutter ...
...which is why we are excited to present Mathieu's new bed!
This is a twin-size loft bed raised 30 inches above the floor.  Although not raised to its maximum height at this time, the loft still offers plenty of space underneath for a small dresser, shelving, and Mathieu's toys. Mathieu has gone from a pack n play, which he has slept in every night for 3 years, to a loft! Whoa! It's been one full week, and he's been sleeping all night long.
Of course, Mathieu loved the whole idea of a project with Daddy.  He brought Daddy every board he could carry.

Dave included Mathieu in the "building of the bed" as much as he could.

We can read to him in his own bed!
The picture in the background is a drawing Dave made in the first or second grade.  His mom had saved and framed it.
