Travels!

 We've had an adventurous two weeks that all started June 29th when we drove to Patapsco state park near Baltimore, MD.  Who knew that we'd choose the hottest weekend all summer.  Temps were 110 degrees! But our little cabin was perfect.  The campground was perfect, and we saw Dave's fabulous Peace Corps friends.

Although no picture to show, we spent one night with my closest high school friend, Dawn, and took the train from Baltimore to RI. 

Our time in RI is always action-packed.  Geographically, New England is just a beautiful place filled with rocks, hills, mountains, rivers, lakes, and an ocean.  Although RI doesn't have any mountains, it has everything else, and my family, especially my niece and older nephew, are willing to explore.

In honor of my parent's 42nd wedding anniversary, we camped at Well's State Park in MA.  Instead of a cabin, we rented a yurt, a round, wigwam-ish abode.

Breezy Acres Waterslide Park

The last time I was on these waterslides, my 12 year old niece was only 3. Mathieu surprised us all with his enjoyment of the slides.

 Each family time is special, but on this trip, my brother, my sister-in-law, and younger nephew, Gabriel spent a weekend at my parent's, and my sister was able to take time out of work.  In this way, we could all be together, especially with the youngest kiddos where 7am is prime time. Mathieu thoroughly enjoyed being with all his cousins.
